A deep aroma, smooth flavour, and calm, balanced character.
Before you is a hand-picked high-mountain GABA oolong, produced using a special method in an oxygen-restricted environment. This process gives the tea its distinctive sweetness, deep notes of fruit and honey, and a smooth, long-lasting flavour.
Aroma: warm, rich, and multilayered. From the first moments, you can sense baked apple, raisins, dried fruit, and floral honey. Delicate notes of caramel, spices, and forest berries emerge later, adding depth and warmth to the aroma.
Taste: smooth, rounded, and naturally sweet. It begins with notes of ripe fruit and honey, followed by tones of dried plum, baked pear, and light caramel. There is no sharp bitterness or excessive acidity — the tea unfolds gradually and leaves a long, fruity, honeyed aftertaste.
Effect: calm, warm, and balanced. The tea does not create a sudden wave of stimulation. It gently envelops you, helps you focus, and slows the rhythm of the day. It is especially pleasant after a busy day, during a quiet conversation, or whenever you want to spend some time alone.
Who will enjoy it: those who appreciate the depth of oolong and the warmth of black tea but are looking for a softer, sweeter flavour. GABA oolong is also a good choice for those who find green tea too sharp and heavily oxidised tea too intense.
What Is GABA Oolong?GABA oolong is a tea that is placed in an oxygen-restricted environment during one stage of processing. Instead of ordinary air, an inert atmosphere is used, changing the direction of the natural processes taking place within the tea leaf.
This method gives the tea its characteristic smoothness, natural sweetness, and deep notes of ripe fruit. The flavour of GABA oolong is often rounder and calmer than that of classic oolong, while its aroma is warmer and more intense.
Oxygen-restricted processing. The leaves are processed for a specific period in a specially sealed environment. The process requires precise control of temperature, humidity, and duration.
Balanced oxidation. After this stage, the leaves are carefully rolled and dried. The level of oxidation is selected to preserve both the floral and fruity character of oolong and its warm, deep, long-lasting flavour.
Where This Tea GrowsThe tea is grown in the high-mountain gardens of Zedubani, where cool nights, sunny days, and pure mountain air encourage the leaves to develop slowly.
At high altitude, the tea bush grows more slowly. The leaves gradually accumulate aromatic compounds, amino acids, and polyphenols. This is why high-mountain tea develops a deeper aroma, a more defined structure, and a longer-lasting flavour.
The difference between daytime and nighttime temperatures plays an important role in shaping the tea’s character. During the day, the sun warms the leaves, while at night, the cool air slows their development. As a result, the tea acquires purity, depth, and a multilayered aroma.
Harvesting and ProcessingThe tea leaves are picked by hand. The pickers select only healthy, tender, and properly developed shoots. Hand-picking allows us to preserve the integrity of the leaves and use only the finest raw material for processing.
After harvesting, the leaves are lightly withered and then placed in an oxygen-restricted environment. Every stage of the process is carefully controlled so that the tea retains its clean aroma and develops the smooth, sweet flavour characteristic of GABA oolong.
The leaves are then carefully rolled and dried at a low temperature. This process gives the flavour greater depth and stability while enhancing notes of fruit, honey, and light caramel in the aroma.
The result is a smooth, rich, and distinctive GABA oolong, revealing different notes with every infusion — from flowers and ripe fruit to honey, dried fruit, and warm spices.
How to BrewUse 4–5 grams of tea per 250 ml of water. The recommended water temperature is 85–90°C. Steep the first infusion for 2–3 minutes.
The tea can be infused several times. With each subsequent infusion, the flavour gradually changes: the initial fruity and floral notes develop into deeper tones of honey, caramel, and dried fruit.
